New Blog

I've just added a new blog to my repertoire, basically aiming to annoy as many Christians as possible.

The Devil sends me a huge amount of Mormon and regular Christian blog sites, and some of them are worthy of a slightly wider audience for their sheer comedy value alone.

If anyone else finds any religious blog sites worthy of derision, do send them to me via the comments section of the new blog.

I thank you.

Update On Becca's Angels

Just if anyone's interested, there are two new - and probably final - updates on Becca/Bob's blog.

Peter and Bet are going to concentrate their future efforts on the Melanoma Awareness Project(MAP) website from now on, and attempt to get the MAP DVD into every school in the country.

I'd like to wish them the best of luck with that.

Exercising Your Democratic Right

Fellow revolutionary Old Holborn is suggesting taking a spot of exercise on November 5th. Walking from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Square then back again, at about midday onwards.

Obviously this route may well pass Downing Street and, given Prime Minister's Questions taking place at 12.30, may afford a possible chance for interaction with Gordon Brown or one of his many lackeys.

I intend to be taking the Government's advice on exercise and strolling in that very area on exactly the same date. I may also be taking Old Holborn's advice and wearing a similar 'V for Vendetta' style get-up. I shall also be making sure that thieves don't have the chance to get their hands on any documents with my identity on it by leaving all of them at home.

Revolution: it's coming your way, soon.

Apologies

Sorry about the lack of blogging recently. Family stuff, house move and work (though not necessarily in that order) have contributed to me being fairly time poor.

Fear not, there will be more spleen venting over the coming week. As per usual.

Sightseeing Trip

As you are no doubt well aware, there is a ban on protesting within one mile of Parliament. Which is a shame, as there's rather a lot to protest about at the minute.

Handily, there's no ban on sightseeing, or having a walk around Parliament Square.

So, here's the plan. I shall be having a walk around Parliament Square on Saturday 28th June at about 1pm. I will be taking photos of Westminster and possibly being nostalgic about how we used to have a Government worthy of the name.

If you care to join me, that would be super.

No banners. No slogans. No chanting.

This is not a protest. This is a Revolution.

I am the Revolution and I want my fucking country back.

Product Placement

Here's something for the beleaguered smoker. A smoke-less cigarette that gives you a nicotine hit *and* lets you exhale properly.

And there's not really any reason why you can't "smoke" them in the pub, on the train or on the bus, as what you're exhaling is essentially steam. No carcinogens, no tar, just sweet sweet nicotine!

Oh, and the site I've linked to is MUCH cheaper than the similar product being hawked at Harrods.

UPDATE: Just been told that if you order one and put an "X" by your name, then the manufacturer will know that you've come from here.

Well, more of a fansite strictly speaking. Courtesy of Vlad, here is prickhead.

I'm Not Dead

Despite the lack of posts on here recently, I just want to reassure everyone that I'm not dead. Nor have I stopped being outraged by politics, privacy issues or everything else. And I did enjoy Newcastle's victory over Sunderland. Oh, that's interesting, my spell checker is fine with "Newcastle" but kicks up a fuss at "Sunderland". Good.

Was a tad unwell over last weekend and that hung around until Thursday or so, but I'm feeling a bit better - though still wiped out - now. On top of this, I've been packing my stuff up in North London for my move to South London (no, really) next month. Plus I'm also trying to sort out two other websites for friends of mine, so this is taking a back seat at present.

So yeah, I'm useless at multi-tasking, can't organise my time effectively, and am easily distracted. And for those of you who know me personally, I am aware that is the usual description of me, thanks.

Will be posting more stuff this week though, as I don't feel quite so ill as last week. Which will be a joy for everyone, won't it?

Melanoma Awareness Project

Just so you know, I have - in conjunction with Becca's Dad, Peter - set up a new blog for the Melanoma Awareness Project.

This can be seen here and will be updated with video and photos, plus more information about the project, as often as I can.

Do Not Buy

A splendid heads up warning from Devil's Kitchen about the heavily advertised (or perhaps I just watch TV shows that have a high geek profile, who knows) Western Digital 1TB My Book Network Storage Drive.

There's a PC World advert saying what cracking value it is - at £149 - and how useful it would be to store all your photos and stuff on. Well, this is kinda true, and could probably be considered excellent value if you weren't planning on sharing those files with anyone else.

You see, the My Book has been crippled. You CANNOT share MP3, MP4, AAC, AIFF, AVI, DivX, WMV, WMA, OGG, and QuickTime files using this drive. Which does make its purpose seem completely pointless. Cunts.

UPDATE:

Apparently there is a hack for this if you're feeling adventurous in Linux.

I Know Most Of You Know This Already

I also have another blog which is about a friend of mine who died earlier this year. It's actually a celebration of her life and her fight against the metastatic melanoma, rather than being a morbid recollection of her last days.

The reason I'm mentioning it now is, Bob's sister (Sam) is going to be running the Great South Run on behalf of CANCERactive in October and is looking for sponsors.

If anyone can donate, please click on this link then scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter the name Sam Williams and the amount. Or ring their office on 01280 821211 if you find t'interweb not secure enough.

Cheers!

Geeky Warning

As recently revealed at the Black Hat hacker conference in Las Vegas, if you use public wifi to access your email and social networking sites, then your login information is at risk of being grabbed from the cookies sent back from the sites you're logging into.

So basically, unless you REALLY have to, don't use wifi hotspots for anything that involves you having to login. And if you have to, change your login details from somewhere secure as soon as possible afterwards.

Let's be safe out there.
